"Nancy is a patient and kind teacher who easily molds her lessons to the needs of her students." Beth Kille, Music Director, Girls Rock Camp Madison
"I started taking lessons from Nancy when I was 71 years old. I had not had any lessons since I was 8 years old. I could read and play treble clef notes but not bass clef. Nancy gave me the option of learning to read music or playing by ear. I tried both and decided playing by ear was best for me. Nancy taught me some basic chords and rhythms which allowed me to play by ear very quickly. She is a very patient and enthusiastic teacher. I love to sit at my keyboard and play with both hands, to my own delight, and to my family’s. I have played at nursing homes several times and the guests loved the old time songs. I particularly remember the day I played a piece I had been working on for Nancy and she clapped her hands and said, 'You have made progress by leaps and bounds!' That made my day." -- Noel Pearson
"Nancy guided me through learning pop piano. She was always ready to answer any question and willing to help me tackle any song. She made music theory "real" for me." -- Paul D.
"I don't read music, I'd never played the piano before, and I was nervous. Nancy adjusted her teaching to my limitations and made it fun. She taught this old dog some new tricks."
